- Duties: The Landscape Architect will design, direct, and review projects related to parks, recreation, cultural programs, streetscapes, and multi-use paths. - Project Management: The role involves preparing design and bid documents, securing permits and approvals, tracking budgets, coordinating with departments and outside agencies, and performing quality control.
- Construction Oversight: Ensuring projects meet approved plans during the construction phase, verifying compliance with permits, conducting inspections, and handling change orders.
- Supervision: May oversee an Engineering Designer and a design team of technical personnel.
- Work Environment: General supervision by a Supervising Engineer; work is FLSA exempt (professional).

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant landscape architecture experience.
- Registration: Must be a registered professional Landscape Architect. Registration in Arizona required within six months of hire.
- Licenses: Valid Class D Arizona Driver’s License by the hire or promotion date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience with FHWA grant administration.
- Experience in urban forestry, multi-use path planning, streetscape design, and municipal park design.
- Supervisory experience (at least six months).
