We are seeking a motivated Buyer to join our procurement team. The role involves sourcing construction materials, equipment, and services to support international projects and corporate objectives. Ideal candidates are recent graduates in Supply Chain Management or professionals with 0-3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Process Management

    • Prepare RFQs/ITBs and bid packages based on commodity assignments.
    • Source and solicit bids from reliable vendors and ensure timely receipt.
    • Communicate with all stakeholders to maintain transparency on procurement processes.
    • Review and analyze bid packages to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Negotiation & Vendor Selection

    • Negotiate best terms, including BAFO, to maximize company profit margins.
    • Recommend and finalize vendors based on price, lead time, availability, and service record.
  • Purchase Order Management

    • Generate and track purchase orders in the Purchase Order system (ViewPoint).
    • Ensure vendor acknowledgment of purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines.
  • Collaboration & Reporting

    • Work closely with Work Package Managers (WPM) and project teams to align procurement with technical and project requirements.
    • Attend daily procurement meetings and perform QC checks on purchase orders.
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Evaluate processes to identify areas for efficiency and improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum: Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of procurement experience, preferably as a Buyer in the construction industry.
    • Recent graduates in Supply Chain Management are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and motivated.
  • Customer service mindset with a commitment to high ethical standards.

Other Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a security clearance.
  • Willingness to grow in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
