Core Responsibilities:
- Concept Development & Project Ownership: Lead and develop interior design concepts, taking full responsibility for assigned projects. Guide and mentor Junior Interior Designers to encourage teamwork and innovation.
- Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings to understand their vision and needs, and support presentations that communicate design concepts and solicit feedback.
- Space Planning: Create detailed space plans and furniture layouts that enhance usability and align with design objectives. Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Material & Furnishings Selection: Choose materials, finishes, and furniture, balancing design goals with practical application and budget considerations.
- Trend Integration: Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and design innovations, integrating relevant updates into project work.
- 3D Renderings: Utilize advanced design software to produce high-quality visualizations that effectively present design ideas.
- Project Management: Oversee small tenant improvement projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring project goals, budgets, and timelines are met. Conduct site visits to ensure design integrity.
- Construction Process Management: Handle administrative tasks like RFIs, ASIs, and submittal approvals, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.
- Budget Oversight: Work with project managers to monitor project budgets and support the firm’s financial objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in interior design with proven project management and design execution success.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
