The Human Resources Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations for approximately 200 employees spread across three locations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will support two distinct business entities within the Surfacing Division: Rubber Designs and Sprinturf. The HR Manager will handle all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, safety programs, benefits administration, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment process: headcount analysis, job posting, screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer management.
- Oversee effective onboarding, new employee orientation, and offboarding processes.
Employee Relations & Counseling:
- Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct investigations when necessary and provide unbiased recommendations on next steps.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Compliance & Policy Development:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as federal and state employment laws.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to employment laws and guidelines and ensure compliance.
- Develop and communicate new or updated policies to employees.
Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance management program in collaboration with managers.
- Manage employee development and succession planning initiatives.
Employee Benefits & Safety Programs:
- Administer employee benefits, including managing open enrollment events and serving as liaison with benefits administrators.
- Oversee Workers' Compensation claims and report injuries in accordance with OSHA and corporate safety standards.
- Manage the company's safety program, including employee training, safety policy updates, and incident tracking.
Financial & Forecasting Support:
- Participate in headcount, salary, and workforce budget planning.

Education & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Additional Requirements:
Travel:
- Travel to Chatsworth and Dadeville sites is required.
Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience with HRIS and/or Payroll Software systems, UKG preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Language & Reasoning:
- Ability to read and interpret employment contracts, policies, labor laws, safety manuals, and other related documents.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to define issues, collect data, and establish conclusions.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- The work environment is generally quiet in the administrative areas, but in the manufacturing area, personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to higher noise levels.
