We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team and provide technical and administrative support to our HR department. This position is key to ensuring the effective implementation of company policies and the achievement of corporate goals and objectives. You will report directly to the VP, JM People Operations, and manage key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.

Essential Duties:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate and process documentation for recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • Job Descriptions: Assist unit managers and recruiters in drafting and revising job specifications and descriptions.
  • Employee Records: Maintain HR records such as employee files, leave records, and performance management documents.
  • Policy Advice: Advise employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Disciplinary Management: Manage minor disciplinary issues and ensure adherence to disciplinary procedures.
  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and ensure proper offboarding processes.
  • Employee Counseling: Act as a counsel to employees, department heads, and top management.
  • Team Supervision: Provide supervision and leadership to the Human Resources team.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly and ad hoc statistics and reports on HR-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A First Degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience, particularly in managing a workforce of up to 1000 employees.
  • HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of human resource management policies and industrial relations practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, with sound interpersonal skills.
  • Technology Proficiency: Good working knowledge of relevant computer applications and HR management systems.
  • Leadership Ability: Strong administrative and supervisory skills to manage a team of up to 7 employees.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage complex HR issues independently.
