Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Human Resources Manager to provide technical and administrative support to our HR department. This role will be essential in facilitating the implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures and ensuring the achievement of our corporate goals. Reporting directly to the VP of JM People Operations, you will be involved in a wide range of HR activities from recruitment to employee relations to performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Staffing:

    • Coordinate and process documentation for recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers, and separations.
    • Assist unit managers and recruiters in drafting and revising job specifications and descriptions.
  • HR Administration:

    • Maintain employee records, including files, leave records, and performance management documentation.
    • Advise employees on company policies and procedures and provide counsel to employees, department heads, and senior management.
  • Employee Relations:

    • Manage minor disciplinary issues and ensure that disciplinary procedures are followed when necessary.
    • Conduct exit interviews and compile feedback to help improve organizational practices.
  • Supervision and Reporting:

    • Provide supervision and guidance to the HR team.
    • Prepare monthly and ad hoc HR statistics and reports for senior management.
  • General HR Support:

    • Perform other HR-related duties as needed to ensure smooth operation and compliance with company goals and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • First Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent field.
  • Experience:

    • 5-7 years of related experience in human resources management.
    • Experience managing up to 7 employees and handling HR duties for a workforce of up to 1,000 people.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of HR management policies, industrial relations, and practices.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
    • Proficient in relevant HR computer applications and systems.
