We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide HR leadership for our site operations in Victoria, TX. This role will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, employee development, succession planning, and compliance with employment laws. The HR Manager will play a critical role in supporting management and employees while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- HR Leadership & Strategy: Plan, direct, and coordinate HR activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, training, and succession planning.
- Employee Relations: Provide general HR support and advice to supervisors, managers, and employees on employee relations concerns. Resolve high-risk employee relations issues and conduct investigations to recommend appropriate actions.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and manage company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, and maintain accurate records for legal reporting.
- Recruitment & Retention: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs. Plan and conduct a positive new hire onboarding experience that fosters a positive attitude toward company goals.
- Benefits & Compensation: Coordinate benefits programs and administer plant policies. Maintain up-to-date employee handbooks, job descriptions, and salary administration.
- Team Development: Manage and develop the HR team in technical aspects of the job, ensuring the efficient execution of HR functions.
- Performance Management: Support management staff with coaching, delivering feedback, and conducting performance evaluations to improve associate performance and resolve performance-related issues.
- Legal Compliance: Identify legal requirements affecting HR functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish fluency preferred.
