About the Role:
As the Middle East Controller / Finance Director, you will be a key member of the ET&S Middle East Regional Team, collaborating closely with regional and global leaders to guide strategic initiatives, drive profitability, and create long-term value. You will lead finance operations across the Middle East, ensuring consistency in reporting, compliance, and supporting business transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Financial Leadership:
- Work closely with ET&S regional and global leadership to drive strategy, optimize profitability, and enhance market competitiveness in the Middle East and globally.
- Collaborate with the ET&S Business Finance team to provide financial insights, strategies, and market analysis to boost regional competitiveness.
Talent Development & Principle-Based Management™:
- Develop, mentor, and retain finance and accounting talent in the Middle East region.
- Promote the application of Principle-Based Management™ across finance and accounting teams.
Financial Reporting & Operations Management:
- Lead regional finance and accounting operations, including the preparation of internal financial reports, statutory reporting, and group reporting.
- Coordinate audits and compliance requirements, including ICV (Abu Dhabi), IKTVA (Saudi Arabia), and any other regional regulations.
- Oversee tax and audit requirements, collaborating with tax consultants and statutory auditors for Middle East entities.
- Drive the adoption of new local tax laws and regulations, including e-invoicing and emerging compliance requirements in the UAE and KSA.
Compliance & Partner Qualification:
- Support KES compliance teams in reviewing and qualifying business partners in the Middle East.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, tax laws, and company regulations across all regional activities.
Transformation & Innovation:
- Lead finance transformation initiatives within KES & ET&S, focusing on strategy alignment and ERP implementation.
- Collaborate with other sites within the Asia region to ensure consistency in accounting practices and management reporting.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Strong leadership experience in financial analysis, business development, decision support, or related roles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, data manipulation, analysis, graphing, etc.).
- Strong economic thinking skills, with the ability to apply economic tools (e.g., marginal analysis, opportunity cost, risk optimization).
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in financial analysis within global/multinational manufacturing organizations.
- Exposure to various ERP systems and leading accounting system implementations in manufacturing.
- Experience in driving organizational transformation and applying global capability models.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with GCC (especially UAE) laws and tax regulations.
