Position Summary
The Extra Help Recruitment Coordinator (Human Resource Representative) will support the UI Health Human Resources team in planning, implementing, and evaluating recruitment efforts across the Hospital and clinics. Working closely with the Recruitment team, this role involves screening, hiring, and processing new and existing employees to build a strong candidate network. The Coordinator also assists with new employee onboarding and verifies employment eligibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attending job fairs and managing applicant responses.
  • Building applicant pipelines by connecting with community services, educational institutions, employment agencies, and media outlets.
  • Supporting the Recruitment team by proactively sourcing candidates and using a range of recruiting methods, such as networking, social media, and professional organizations.
  • Assisting in recruitment activities including tracking application systems, reviewing applicants, and managing vacancy postings.
  • Collaborating with advertising agencies for job postings and ads.
  • Organizing recruitment events such as open houses and creating recruitment materials.
  • Facilitating recruitment and selection activities across UI Health, including conducting interviews and reference checks.
  • Meeting new hires to complete onboarding steps, including offer letters, degree verification, background checks, health screenings, I-9 verification, and orientation materials.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A total of two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:
    • Course work in human resource administration, business administration, or a closely related field, with:
      • 30 semester hours equivalent to one (1) year (12 months),
      • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equivalent to eighteen months (18 months),
      • 90 semester hours equivalent to two (2) years (24 months),
    • Experience in progressively responsible roles maintaining and processing HR records and reports.
