The⠀Executive⠀Director⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/Associate⠀Administrator⠀reports to⠀the⠀Assistant⠀Vice⠀President⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/Chief⠀Information⠀Officer.⠀The⠀Executive⠀Director⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/Associate⠀Administrator⠀provides⠀oversight⠀to the MEC⠀Information⠀Technology⠀(IT)⠀operations⠀driven by⠀the⠀expectations⠀and needs⠀of⠀students,⠀faculty,⠀and⠀staff.
The⠀Executive⠀Director⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/Associate⠀Administrator⠀oversees⠀the⠀following⠀IT units,⠀functions,⠀processes,⠀and⠀infrastructures:⠀network,⠀security,⠀connectivity,⠀and⠀interoperability⠀for all IT⠀services.⠀The⠀Executive⠀Director⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/⠀Associate⠀Administrator⠀works with⠀a team of⠀IT staff⠀to⠀maintain⠀continuous⠀operation⠀and⠀reliability⠀of campus⠀email,⠀internet,⠀phone, and⠀the⠀hardware⠀and⠀software⠀components⠀that⠀support⠀communication⠀systems.⠀The⠀position⠀will also⠀oversee⠀and work⠀collaboratively⠀with IT⠀staff on⠀LAN⠀backbone,⠀and Cloud⠀related⠀services,⠀instructional⠀technology,⠀online⠀learning⠀services,⠀and⠀learning⠀management⠀system.⠀This⠀position⠀will⠀oversee⠀the⠀operations⠀of⠀customer⠀service⠀and help⠀desk,⠀physical⠀website⠀infrastructure⠀development⠀and⠀maintenance,⠀development⠀of IT⠀standards,⠀norms, and⠀procedures⠀necessary⠀to assure⠀quality of⠀IT⠀services⠀as⠀assigned⠀to IT⠀staff. The⠀Executive⠀Director⠀of⠀Information⠀Technology/Associate⠀Administrator⠀performs⠀other⠀related⠀duties as⠀assigned.
MINIMUM⠀QUALIFICATIONS
This⠀position⠀is in⠀CUNY's⠀Executive⠀Compensation⠀Plan. All⠀executive⠀positions⠀require a⠀minimum of⠀a⠀Bachelor's⠀degree and⠀eight⠀years⠀related⠀experience.
The⠀successful⠀candidate⠀must⠀possess at⠀least a⠀Master's⠀degree in⠀Business⠀Information⠀Systems.⠀Or, an MBA⠀focusing⠀on⠀Technology⠀Management.⠀Or, a⠀Master's⠀degree in⠀Computer⠀Science.⠀Or, a⠀Master's⠀degree in⠀Instructional⠀Technology⠀Management.
In⠀addition,⠀the⠀selected⠀candidate⠀must have⠀knowledge⠀and⠀ability to⠀apply⠀instructional⠀technologies⠀with⠀demonstrated⠀experience⠀working⠀with⠀online⠀learning⠀management⠀systems⠀(LMS)⠀platforms⠀like⠀Desire-to-Learn,⠀Blackboard,⠀etc.
COMPENSATION
Salary⠀commensurate⠀with⠀education⠀and⠀experience.⠀Salary⠀range is⠀$100,000 -⠀$120,000
