We’re looking for a CAD Designer to join our multi-disciplined engineering and design teams, providing innovative 3D modeling services for civil grading, structures, and more. If you're passionate about the intersection of design and energy technologies, this is a great opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • 3D Modeling & Design: Develop 3D models for civil grading and structures using CAD software, producing detailed civil drawing deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work within multi-disciplined teams to create and refine designs based on input from engineers and designers.
  • CAD Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other 3D design software to generate detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Design Feedback: Communicate with vendors and construction contractors to ensure designs are properly executed and adjusted when necessary.
  • Training & Development: Receive hands-on training in advanced 3D design software and Sargent & Lundy’s proprietary design databases.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology (preferred), or a CAD certificate (required for non-degreed candidates).
  • Software Experience: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of design techniques and the ability to produce technical plans, drawings, and models.
  • Experience: Previous relevant experience in CAD drafting and design is preferred, but not required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Bentley Microstation and Autodesk AutoCAD is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with engineering science and the practical application of technology in design is beneficial.
