Project⠀Overview

Join⠀us as we⠀make⠀history at⠀the⠀Hanford⠀Vit Plant,⠀known as⠀the Waste⠀Treatment⠀and⠀Immobilization⠀Plant. We⠀are⠀designing⠀and⠀building a⠀one-of-a-kind⠀facility⠀that will⠀turn⠀radioactive⠀and⠀chemical⠀waste left⠀over from⠀World War⠀II and⠀Cold War⠀plutonium⠀production⠀into a⠀form safe⠀for⠀disposal.⠀Your⠀efforts⠀will help⠀protect⠀the nearby⠀Columbia⠀River and⠀the⠀communities,⠀salmon,⠀and⠀wildlife⠀along its⠀shorelines⠀throughout⠀the⠀Northwest.

Sitting⠀at the⠀confluence⠀of the⠀Columbia,⠀Snake and⠀Yakima⠀rivers⠀near two⠀mountain⠀ranges,⠀our⠀community⠀provides⠀access to⠀year-round⠀outdoor⠀recreation,⠀300 days⠀of sun a⠀year, more⠀than 200⠀wineries⠀within a⠀50-mile⠀radius,⠀and the⠀amenities⠀of large⠀cities⠀just a⠀three-hour⠀drive (or⠀short⠀flight) to⠀Seattle⠀and⠀Portland.

Position⠀Summary

The⠀focus of⠀this role⠀is⠀developing⠀and⠀providing⠀the⠀infrastructure⠀that⠀supports⠀the⠀Project⠀Engineering⠀Managers⠀and the⠀Engineering⠀production⠀teams. The⠀Engineering⠀Compliance⠀Coordinator⠀role⠀reports to⠀the⠀Quality⠀Engineering⠀Supervisor.⠀This role⠀provides⠀leadership⠀to the⠀engineering⠀team⠀emphasizing⠀compliance⠀including⠀developing⠀and⠀presenting⠀engineering⠀quality⠀presentations,⠀providing⠀training⠀to the⠀engineering⠀workforce,⠀and⠀support⠀for the⠀Closed⠀Loop⠀Corrective⠀Action⠀(CLCA)⠀program.⠀This role⠀supports⠀the Design⠀Authority⠀and⠀Manager of⠀Engineering⠀by⠀completing⠀special⠀projects⠀to⠀identify⠀emerging⠀issues,⠀impacts⠀and⠀identifying⠀actions to⠀resolve.⠀This role⠀completes⠀engineering⠀deliverables⠀such as⠀engineering⠀plans,⠀studies,⠀reports,⠀assessments,⠀audits,⠀surveillances,⠀correction⠀action⠀planning⠀and⠀response.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a⠀senior⠀level⠀engineering⠀leadership⠀and⠀customer⠀interface⠀role to⠀resolve⠀technical⠀and⠀quality⠀issues as⠀they⠀arise.
• Communicate⠀and⠀interface⠀at⠀multiple⠀levels⠀within the⠀engineering⠀and WTP⠀Project⠀organization,⠀including⠀communicating⠀quality⠀issues to⠀the⠀engineering⠀team in⠀the form⠀of⠀positive⠀feedback⠀and⠀lessons⠀learned.
• Present⠀information⠀in both⠀oral and⠀written⠀forms,⠀preparing⠀briefing⠀materials,⠀presentations,⠀and other⠀communications⠀products,⠀summarizing⠀and⠀presenting⠀complex⠀and⠀detailed⠀information.
• Conduct⠀special⠀projects⠀to⠀identify⠀emerging⠀issues,⠀impacts⠀and⠀associated⠀actions.
• Lead⠀project⠀process⠀improvement⠀efforts⠀across⠀Engineering⠀disciplines⠀and⠀project⠀functions.
• Establish⠀and⠀facilitate⠀integration⠀meetings⠀with WTP,⠀DOE and⠀interfacing⠀contractors.
• Comply⠀with⠀contractually⠀specified⠀federal⠀and state⠀safety⠀codes,⠀requirements,⠀and⠀standards.
• Participate⠀in and⠀support⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀surveillances,⠀assessments,⠀and⠀audits.
• Develop⠀and⠀present⠀training⠀on⠀procedures,⠀policies,⠀and⠀instructions⠀to project⠀personnel.
• Process⠀Condition⠀Reports⠀and⠀associated⠀actions⠀within the⠀Closed⠀Loop⠀Corrective⠀Action⠀(CLCA)⠀automated⠀tool⠀(DevonWay).
• Coordinate⠀Closed⠀Loop⠀Corrective⠀Action⠀(CLCA)⠀program⠀project⠀initiatives,⠀monitor⠀and ensure⠀timely⠀completion⠀of⠀engineering⠀condition⠀reports⠀and⠀associated⠀actions.
• Perform⠀and review⠀Root and⠀Apparent⠀Cause⠀Analyses⠀• Attend⠀Condition⠀Report⠀Review⠀Committee⠀(CRRC)⠀meetings⠀as⠀Engineering⠀Point of⠀Contact⠀(POC).
• Implement⠀and⠀maintain a⠀strong⠀nuclear⠀safety and⠀quality⠀culture in⠀the⠀execution⠀of the⠀responsibilities⠀of this⠀position.

Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications

• Level One:⠀Bachelor's⠀degree in⠀a⠀technical⠀field⠀(e.g.,⠀Engineering,⠀Science,⠀IT, etc.)⠀from an⠀accredited⠀university,⠀with a⠀minimum of⠀nine (9)⠀years’⠀professional⠀experience⠀in quality⠀engineering,⠀quality⠀assurance⠀or⠀experience⠀as⠀specifically⠀related to⠀the⠀position⠀responsibilities;⠀or, in⠀lieu of⠀degree,⠀fifteen⠀(15)⠀years’⠀professional⠀experience⠀in quality⠀engineering,⠀quality⠀assurance⠀or⠀experience⠀as⠀specifically⠀related to⠀the⠀position⠀responsibilities.
• Level⠀Two:⠀Bachelor's⠀degree in⠀a⠀technical⠀field⠀(e.g.,⠀Engineering,⠀Science,⠀IT, etc.)⠀from an⠀accredited⠀university,⠀with a⠀minimum of⠀thirteen⠀(13)⠀years’⠀professional⠀experience⠀in quality⠀engineering,⠀quality⠀assurance⠀or⠀experience⠀as⠀specifically⠀related to⠀the⠀position⠀responsibilities;⠀or, in⠀lieu of⠀degree,⠀nineteen⠀(19)⠀years’⠀professional⠀experience⠀in quality⠀engineering,⠀quality⠀assurance⠀or⠀experience⠀as⠀specifically⠀related to⠀the⠀position⠀responsibilities.
• Must⠀be able to⠀complete⠀and pass a⠀pre-employment⠀drug⠀screen,⠀physical⠀(if⠀located at⠀the⠀construction⠀site), and⠀background⠀check⠀which⠀includes⠀verification⠀of⠀employment⠀and⠀education.
• Must⠀be able to⠀obtain a⠀Department⠀of Energy⠀badge for⠀access to⠀the⠀Hanford⠀Site.⠀(Even if⠀teleworking,⠀must still⠀be able to⠀comply⠀with⠀security⠀requirements⠀to obtain⠀a⠀badge).
• Must⠀possess⠀the right⠀to work⠀and remain⠀in the⠀United⠀States⠀without⠀sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Demonstrated⠀knowledge⠀and⠀experience⠀on large⠀EPC⠀projects,⠀plant⠀operations⠀and⠀maintenance⠀projects.
• Knowledge⠀of⠀engineering⠀work⠀processes,⠀procedures,⠀corrective⠀action⠀management⠀and⠀quality⠀improvement⠀programs.
• Knowledge⠀of⠀background⠀and⠀implementation⠀of ASME⠀NQA-1 for⠀nuclear⠀work.
• Demonstrated⠀ability to⠀interact⠀with⠀peers,⠀management,⠀customers,⠀and end⠀users, and⠀to work⠀cooperatively⠀in a⠀teamwork⠀environment.
