Within the⠀Department⠀of Social⠀and Health⠀Services⠀(DSHS),⠀Aging and⠀Long-Term⠀Support⠀Administration⠀(ALTSA),⠀the Home⠀and⠀Community⠀Services⠀Division⠀(HCS)⠀administers⠀home and⠀community-based⠀services⠀for older⠀adults and⠀persons⠀with⠀disabilities.⠀We help⠀people⠀with⠀disabilities⠀and their⠀families⠀obtain⠀appropriate⠀quality⠀services⠀to⠀maximize⠀independence,⠀dignity,⠀and⠀quality of⠀life.

You’ll⠀have⠀regional⠀coordination⠀responsibility⠀for⠀service⠀delivery⠀for⠀clients on⠀ALTSA⠀services⠀and for⠀training⠀related to⠀quality⠀assurance⠀activities.⠀You’ll⠀be⠀responsible⠀for the⠀oversight⠀of all⠀social⠀services⠀staff⠀training⠀needs for⠀both new⠀and⠀existing⠀staff as⠀well as⠀Administrative⠀Hearings.⠀You will⠀also⠀function⠀as the⠀Quality⠀Assurance⠀(QA) Lead⠀and⠀primary QA⠀contact⠀for Social⠀Services⠀in Region⠀2 Home and⠀Community⠀Services.


Some of What You’ll Do

  • Supervision⠀of 7⠀positions⠀within the⠀region
  • Plan,⠀lead,⠀direct and⠀implement⠀long-term⠀care⠀services,⠀program⠀standards,⠀and⠀Regional⠀operating⠀procedures⠀for staff⠀in Region⠀2:
  • Accountable⠀for all⠀regional⠀aspects of⠀social⠀services⠀staff⠀training⠀and⠀Quality⠀Assurance⠀oversight.
  • Collaborate⠀with other⠀Program⠀Managers⠀and the⠀Washington⠀Management⠀Services⠀(WMS) team⠀to develop⠀regional⠀policy and⠀procedures
  • Develop⠀and⠀delivery⠀virtual⠀and⠀in-person⠀trainings⠀for social⠀service⠀staff⠀throughout⠀the⠀region.
  • Ensure⠀that⠀regional⠀data⠀tracking⠀is⠀accurate,⠀analyze⠀trends and⠀develop⠀responsive⠀training⠀strategies.
Who we Want in This Role
Knowledge
Master’s⠀Degree in⠀psychology,⠀counseling,⠀social⠀work,⠀social⠀science,⠀public⠀administration⠀or related⠀field AND⠀3 years of⠀professional⠀experience⠀in⠀planning,⠀administering,⠀developing,⠀or⠀delivering⠀social and⠀health⠀services⠀programs
OR
Bachelor’s⠀Degree and⠀five years⠀of⠀professional⠀experience.

  • Knowledge⠀and⠀experience⠀or⠀understanding⠀of Home &⠀Community⠀Services⠀programs,⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures
  • Ability⠀to⠀communicate⠀effectively⠀through⠀oral and⠀written⠀forms of⠀communication⠀with⠀management,⠀peers,⠀clients,⠀and the⠀public.
  • Ability⠀to follow⠀oral and⠀written⠀directives/instructions.
  • Knowledge⠀and⠀experience⠀in⠀designing⠀and⠀delivering⠀training⠀in⠀multiple⠀formats to⠀a diverse⠀audience
  • Ability⠀to resolve⠀conflicts⠀or⠀complaints⠀between⠀persons⠀and groups⠀with⠀diverse⠀personalities⠀and⠀differing⠀goals.
