Old⠀Dominion⠀Freight⠀Line is⠀currently⠀recruiting⠀for a Dock⠀Worker⠀Clerk. A⠀Dock⠀Worker⠀Clerk will⠀provide⠀clerical⠀support to⠀the Dock⠀Supervisor⠀to assist⠀in⠀operating⠀a⠀productive⠀shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide⠀administrative⠀support⠀and⠀assistance⠀to the⠀Dock⠀Supervisor⠀to assist⠀with high⠀levels of⠀productivity⠀and smooth⠀operations
    Prepare⠀and⠀maintain⠀daily⠀paperwork⠀to move⠀freight⠀including⠀DOT files⠀to ensure⠀confidentiality,⠀accuracy⠀and⠀timeliness
    Prepare⠀a variety⠀of⠀documents⠀and⠀reports⠀using⠀AS400 and⠀SAP
    Photograph⠀the⠀loading⠀quality of⠀all⠀trailers
    Assists⠀with⠀coordinating⠀freight,⠀information⠀and people⠀in a⠀systematic⠀way to⠀optimize⠀efficiency⠀while⠀minimizing⠀duplication⠀of⠀effort
    Notify⠀the⠀Supervisor⠀of load⠀cut times⠀and assist⠀in⠀ensuring⠀they are⠀met
    Assist⠀the⠀Supervisor⠀in taking⠀all⠀necessary⠀steps in⠀the⠀closeout⠀preparation⠀of a⠀trailer
    Provide⠀exceptional⠀customer⠀service to⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀customers
Qualifications:
  • High⠀School⠀Diploma or⠀equivalent⠀preferred
    1⠀year of⠀office⠀and/or⠀operations⠀experience,⠀preferably⠀in the⠀transportation⠀industry
    Experience⠀in using⠀handheld⠀computers/scanners
    Proficiency⠀with⠀AS400, SAP⠀and⠀Microsoft⠀Office
    Excellent⠀verbal and⠀written⠀communication⠀skills
    Detail⠀oriented
