The role of the North Division Chief Mission Officer (CMO) involves shaping and guiding how the Mission, Values, and Vision of the organization are integrated into the daily operations of ministries in Western Washington and Alaska. This responsibility spans areas like governance, strategy, caregiver support, and ensuring the organization maintains its Catholic identity while respecting its founders' legacy, especially during times of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Participate in key leadership and planning groups.
    • Lead the divisional mission team and ensure Mission and Values Discernment Process is utilized.
    • Integrate Mission and Values into all areas, such as HR, finances, and community services.
    • Support leadership formation and ensure the Mission-inspired culture is maintained.
  • Formation Programs:

    • Guide leadership and caregivers through Mission and Values training and ongoing development.
    • Collaborate with the Organizational Development team on leadership programs.
  • Sponsorship:

    • Support Catholic identity and Mission integration across ministries.
    • Maintain relationships with the Catholic Diocese and churches.
  • Ethics:

    • Collaborate on ethics programs and ensure adherence to Ethical and Religious Directives.
    • Facilitate ethics education and consultation within the division.
  • Community Engagement:

    • Drive initiatives to serve vulnerable communities and align with health and advocacy programs.

Qualifications:

  • Practicing member of the Catholic Church.
  • Master's Degree in relevant fields (Theology, Divinity, etc.), with training in Ethics preferred.
  • Extensive leadership experience in Mission-related programs and healthcare ministry.

This position is central to ensuring that the organization remains aligned with its core Mission and Values while leading initiatives that impact both internal caregivers and the broader community.
