As the Director of Aon’s Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), you will lead the effort to optimize and innovate Aon’s procurement processes, methodologies, and models. Leveraging your expertise in procurement and data-driven decision-making, you will drive continuous process improvement, enhance supplier lifecycle management, and implement best practices that simplify execution while improving user experience and driving value across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy and Process Optimization
- Innovation and Process Improvement: Continuously develop and implement creative methods and ideas to make procurement processes more efficient, optimizing the Procurement Operating Model.
- Supplier Lifecycle Management: Oversee Aon’s end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring processes balance user experience with risk management.
- Risk Management and Supplier Relationships: Manage and assess Aon’s third-party risk management program and supplier relationship management to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
Leadership and Organizational Development
- Training and Change Management: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure stakeholders understand procurement expectations and any changes to processes.
- Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the COE team, including managing direct reports and third-party support resources. Take an active role in current initiatives across the firm to drive efficiency and improve internal service metrics.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and other functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies, goals, and KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends and opportunities through industry involvement and integrate insights into Aon’s procurement practices to drive best-in-class performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Metrics and Reporting: Use data analytics to drive decisions and improvements, ensuring procurement operations deliver measurable results and enhance overall value.
- Strategic Insights: Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data and procurement best practices to influence key business decisions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain, with experience in large, multinational organizations.
- Proven experience in people leadership, managing direct reports and third-party resources, with strong project management skills.
