The Digital Business Development Manager at Hiscox plays a crucial role in expanding our digital market position and driving revenue and profitability within a designated geographic territory. This role involves relationship management, sales execution, strategic planning, lead generation, and market research to identify profitable growth opportunities. You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships and executing growth strategies to ensure long-term business success and achieve financial goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with digital partners and stakeholders. Serve as the primary contact for assigned relationships, fostering trust and collaboration to achieve business development results.
  • Annual Sales Targets & Territory KPIs:
    • Meet financial targets and KPIs within the assigned territory. This includes planning and implementing sales initiatives with digital partners, ensuring monthly targets are achieved, and analyzing data to inform business strategy.
  • Strategic Territory Planning & Tactical Execution:
    • Develop and execute the strategic plan for your territory. Analyze market trends and internal capabilities to identify growth opportunities. Articulate the Hiscox value proposition clearly and prioritize revenue-generating activities.
  • Expand Market Presence:
    • Stay current on digital trends to identify new partners, market needs, and emerging opportunities within the geography. Leverage market insights to drive digital expansion.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Use data to inform decisions, understand business metrics, and collaborate with internal resources to address challenges and optimize growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of insurance experience, specifically in small commercial insurance sales.
    • Proven ability to meet or exceed targets and goals.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
    • Knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
