As the Designer, Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and customer-focused designs primarily for email marketing and e-commerce. In addition, your role will span across various marketing channels, contributing to product launches, photoshoots, and store openings. The ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for design, a desire to push creative boundaries, and a keen understanding of how design drives business results.
Responsibilities:
- Email Design: Create elevated, user-centered email designs that align with creative and business strategies, driving sales and customer engagement.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Senior Art Director to develop design, presentation, and photography concepts for digital creative.
- Photography Art Direction: Assist in planning and supporting the art direction of photography for email campaigns.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including the Production Designer, to ensure designs are executed to the highest standard and align with CB2's brand identity.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and schedule requirements.
- Creative Feedback: Direct the Production Designer on creative edits and ensure final designs align with business goals.
- Design Solutions: Consistently approach design projects with a user-centered focus, bridging customer needs with business objectives.
- HTML Proofing: Review and ensure final email designs meet all necessary specifications, including HTML rendering checks.
Qualifications:
- Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience, with a focus on digital marketing and email campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of graphic design principles and how to adapt them to digital marketing strategies.
- Extensive experience designing for the email channel, with a deep understanding of best practices for email design.
- Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other design software.
- Experience with email software like TAXI or other template-driven platforms is a plus.
- Animation and motion graphics experience highly preferred.
- Strong typography skills and an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of social media trends and modern culture, with the ability to integrate these into design work.
- Communication & Project Management:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions clearly.
- Excellent project management skills, able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work with cross-functional teams on evolving marketing campaigns.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field. Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
