  • Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Establish and maintain trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients. Guide them through the process of developing decarbonisation strategies and actions.
  • Product Development & Strategy: Work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to evolve Terrascope’s offerings. Provide feedback from clients and industry research to shape new features and solutions.
  • Consulting & Advisory Services: Provide consulting services to existing clients, including data quality reviews, mentoring carbon data analysts, and offering advisory support on GHG reduction strategies.
  • Research & Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on global best practices and industry standards. Research sector-specific data needs, performance indicators, and decarbonisation strategies to improve offerings.
  • Business Development: Contribute 50% of your time to business development, helping drive sales and growth while delivering impactful solutions to clients.
  • Contributing to Product Enhancements: Dedicate 25% of your time to advising on product features and UX to optimize the Terrascope platform.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in climate science, sustainability, or engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in carbon accounting and decarbonisation.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience working with one or more sectors: energy, transportation, construction, real estate, textiles, FMCG, industrials, agriculture, food systems, land use, and forestry.
  • Carbon Accounting: Deep knowledge of global standards, including the GHG Protocol, Scope 2 and 3 guidance, and the GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals guidance.
  • Supply Chain Decarbonisation: Proven experience in helping companies decarbonise supply chains.
  • Strong Analytical & Advisory Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify key decarbonisation opportunities, and provide strategic advice.
  • Passion for Change: A genuine passion for influencing change, particularly in the context of decarbonising operations and supply chains in line with the Paris Agreement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Location: This is a fully remote role, but preference is given to candidates located in Chicago, USA, for timezone alignment.

What We Offer:

  • Remote Work Flexibility: Work from anywhere with flexible hours.
  • Global Impact: Be part of a team working on cutting-edge climate solutions that will have a tangible impact on decarbonisation across industries.
