Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading negotiations or business development.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management or planning and developing agreements.
  • Proven experience negotiating bilateral real estate agreements and managing projects of varying scopes and timelines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in indirect taxes, economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, and redlining.
  • Experience in site selection, real estate transactions, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements, clean energy initiatives, or financial modeling for large projects.
  • Familiarity with power transmission/distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, and industrial-scale electrical/cooling systems.

About the Role:
As part of Google’s Strategic Negotiation team, you’ll play a critical role in securing infrastructure to support Google’s continued growth. From overseeing underwater cables to identifying data center locations, your work ensures that Google remains competitive and operationally efficient. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams, manage vendor relationships, and develop strategies to meet Google's infrastructure needs while saving costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify and pursue new data center site opportunities, securing necessary utility connections (e.g., power, water).
  • Monitor and report progress against objectives, supporting decisions with financial metrics.
  • Manage strategies for expanding existing data center sites.
  • Develop and track metrics for site/infrastructure development and portfolio management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, government officials, utility companies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace, promoting collaboration and teamwork.

Compensation:

  • US base salary range: $165,000–$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
  • Final pay is determined by location, skills, and experience.
