The role focuses on clinical trial data management, including extraction, processing, and reporting. This position also supports team members with training and serves as a resource for quality data entry and management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Participate in team meetings to share experiences and solve data-related problems.
Data Administration
- Manage data tracking and project-specific information.
- Identify and report data trends or errors.
- Compile and maintain codebooks, data files, and analysis memos.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding protected data.
- Serve as a primary contact for monitors and CROs regarding data queries.
Development and Performance
- Edit, code, and enter data into case report forms (paper/electronic).
- Run reports and perform basic analysis.
- Clean and format datasets.
- Abstract required data from medical records and ensure protocol compliance.
Miscellaneous
- Support internal audits and compliance assessments.
- Provide feedback to project teams and assist with policy improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in data entry or a similar role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Proficiency in enterprise applications (e.g., eIRB, Kronos).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with oncology clinical trials or cancer-related data management.
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., SAS/Access).
