Description Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Corporate Buyer to manage complex procurement needs for construction materials, equipment, and services, supporting international projects and corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and familiarity with the construction industry.


Procurement Management

  • Handle complex buyout packages, including specification reviews for sourcing materials and services.
  • Prepare detailed RFQ/ITB packages, incorporating specifications and drawings.
  • Source and vet new suppliers while maintaining high standards for quality and reliability.

Vendor Relations & Negotiation

  • Obtain competitive bids and ensure timely submission.
  • Vet new vendors to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Negotiate optimal terms and conditions, including lead times, payment terms, and service levels.
  • Act as the primary liaison between bidders and the project site team, addressing technical questions promptly.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Work Package Managers (WPMs) and project teams to ensure all materials meet BOM and project specifications.
  • Share technical information transparently with all bidders to maintain fairness.
  • Provide well-documented vendor recommendations for team approval.

Purchase Order Management

  • Generate and manage purchase orders using the ViewPoint system.
  • Maintain meticulous records in the Material Tracking Report.
  • Monitor and update order statuses to ensure timely deliveries.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Attend daily procurement/logistics meetings to address updates and challenges.
  • Perform quality control checks on purchase orders and procurement reports.
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols and avoid conflicts of interest in procurement activities.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 7-10 years of procurement experience, preferably as a Buyer in the construction industry.
    • Proven track record of handling complex buyouts and negotiating high-stakes deals.

Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth understanding of procurement techniques, policies, and requirements.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Other Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a security clearance.
  • Must be a proactive team player with a growth-oriented mindset.
