Accounting Policy

This position offers a strong role in technical accounting within a collaborative environment, where the individual will work closely with VPs in Accounting Policy to support the firm’s adherence to U.S. GAAP and SEC standards. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to both U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards, as well as regulatory capital requirements, while playing an active role in the research, interpretation, and documentation of emerging accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with VPs to guide business units on applying current accounting policies to transactions.
• Research technical accounting issues and monitor emerging U.S. GAAP standards.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed on changes.
• Update and develop accounting policies, training materials, and assist in disclosures for SEC filings.
• Coordinate departmental activities to maintain compliance with established policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting, with technical accounting experience preferred.
• Strong communication, project management skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Big 4 experience is a plus.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary between $85,000 - $140,000 annually, with potential for a discretionary bonus.
