The Contract Analyst – Global Procurement supports United Airlines' Global Procurement team by partnering with contract managers to draft, review, and manage procurement contracts. This role ensures the timely, efficient, and compliant execution of contracts, contributing to cost reduction, risk management, and process improvements. The goal is to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management:
    • Partner with Contract Managers to draft, review, and revise procurement contracts that meet company objectives and legal requirements.
    • Communicate and resolve procurement-related issues, including delays, discrepancies, and contract concerns.
    • Ensure timelines are adhered to as set by the business.
    • Monitor contract compliance and lead procurement risk management, including updating agreements and sharing feedback from end users.
  • Collaboration:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, such as Division Leads, Legal, IT Security, and Operational Field Teams.
    • Work with Contract Management to maintain accurate transaction records and contract details in a shareable format.
  • Contract Renewals & Expirations:
    • Lead contract expirations and renewals, ensuring timely renegotiations or renewals are completed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Legal, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related business field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Skills:
    • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong oral communication and people skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and professional.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract terms, contingent labor, and/or labor services.
  • Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concepts and strategic procurement processes.
