The Computer Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support at the Tampa office, handling various computer and technology needs. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining IT systems, and offering support to both remote and onsite staff. Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional customer service are key requirements for this position.

Essential Functions:

  • Technical Support:

    • Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues using the helpdesk system.
    • Provide both remote and onsite technical support to staff.
  • System Maintenance:

    • Install, update, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware, software, and networks.
    • Document daily tasks and technical solutions accurately.
  • Communication:

    • Communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly manner to ensure clarity and understanding.

  • Independence:

    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Task Management:

    • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Customer Focus:

    • Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office environment.

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment:

  • Full-time position, exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements.
  • Workdays: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening and weekend work required as needed.

Travel:

  • Primarily based in Tampa with occasional travel to other BRANDT locations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in supporting Apple products (Mac OS, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
    • Experience with A/V systems and Microsoft 365.
    • A+, Network+, Security+ certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal skills; organized, detail-oriented, and flexible.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities as needed.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing effective support to staff, requiring a blend of technical expertise and strong customer service skills.
