Reporting⠀to the⠀Design⠀Director,⠀this role⠀will have⠀a⠀significant⠀impact on⠀the⠀success of⠀our⠀growing⠀digital⠀commerce⠀division.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting⠀the design⠀of⠀performance,⠀action-oriented⠀tools,⠀such as⠀widgets,⠀and⠀marketing⠀initiatives,⠀such as⠀logos,⠀promotional⠀materials⠀(ie ads),⠀etc.
- A⠀general⠀knowledge⠀of⠀commercial⠀use for⠀images⠀within⠀content⠀containing⠀affiliate⠀marketing⠀links
- Develop⠀and⠀execute a⠀compelling⠀visual⠀strategy⠀that⠀aligns⠀with the⠀New York⠀Post⠀digital⠀network’s⠀goals and⠀target⠀audiences,⠀enhancing⠀the appeal⠀of⠀commerce-related⠀content
- Work⠀alongside⠀writers,⠀editors,⠀and other⠀visual⠀team⠀members to⠀develop⠀visual⠀approaches⠀to The⠀Post’s⠀commerce⠀content⠀across all⠀digital⠀and social⠀channels
- Communicate⠀ideas and⠀direction⠀effectively⠀to both⠀interior⠀and⠀exterior⠀stakeholders
- Utilize⠀UX⠀direction/thinking⠀when⠀developing⠀rich⠀visual⠀storytelling⠀across⠀platforms
- Create⠀innovative,⠀striking⠀designs⠀that⠀effectively⠀communicate⠀key⠀messages⠀of⠀commerce⠀content,⠀including⠀articles,⠀guides,⠀product⠀reviews,⠀and⠀more
- Apply⠀expertise⠀in layout⠀and⠀composition⠀to arrange⠀text,⠀images,⠀and⠀graphics⠀in an⠀aesthetically⠀pleasing⠀and⠀organized⠀manner
- Collaborate⠀closely⠀with the⠀partnerships⠀and⠀commerce⠀editorial⠀teams to⠀ensure⠀that all⠀visual⠀elements⠀complement⠀and⠀enhance⠀written⠀content,⠀aligning⠀with The⠀Post’s⠀voice and⠀tone
- Curate⠀or oversee⠀the⠀selection⠀of⠀high-quality⠀images,⠀photographs,⠀and⠀illustrations⠀that⠀resonate⠀with the⠀commerce⠀content,⠀reinforcing⠀the⠀editorial⠀narratives
- Maintain⠀and⠀enforce⠀brand⠀consistency⠀throughout⠀all visual⠀elements,⠀adhering⠀to⠀established⠀brand⠀guidelines⠀and design⠀standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s⠀degree in⠀Graphic⠀Design,⠀Visual⠀Arts, or a⠀related⠀field⠀and/or⠀proven⠀experience⠀as an Art⠀Director⠀(or in a⠀similar⠀creative⠀leadership⠀role) in a⠀fast-paced,⠀revenue-driven⠀creative⠀department,⠀preferably⠀within the⠀lifestyle⠀or⠀eCommerce⠀industries
- Experience⠀in⠀creating⠀visuals⠀that drive⠀affiliate⠀revenue⠀and⠀familiarity⠀with⠀affiliate⠀marketing⠀strategies
- Knowledge⠀of SEO⠀principles⠀and their⠀impact on⠀visual⠀content⠀for⠀digital⠀publications
- Strong⠀understanding⠀of brand⠀identity,⠀consumer⠀behavior,⠀and design⠀trends
- Solid⠀typographic⠀and layout⠀design⠀skills⠀with⠀exceptional⠀attention⠀to detail⠀and a keen⠀eye for⠀aesthetics⠀and visual⠀storytelling
- Excellent⠀written⠀and verbal⠀communication⠀skills;⠀ability to⠀articulate,⠀design,⠀and⠀present⠀creative⠀concepts⠀effectively

Salary Range: $50,000- $145,000
