Gesa Credit Union is looking for an entry-level Collection Support Specialist to join their team. While no prior experience is required, candidates with a background in Collections or Finance are preferred. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with hours from 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repossessions & Sold Units: Process paperwork for repossessions after the 10-day redemption period, manage repossessions, and prepare reports.
- Charge Off & Recoveries: Assist with charge-offs, complete transactions, and prepare month-end reports.
- Insurance Claims: Support processing of Skip Claims, Repo Damage Claims, and Premium Deficiency Claims.
- Account Maintenance: Handle account research, mail payments, and prepare files for third-party collections.
- Documentation & Reporting: Assist with paperwork, maintain reports, and monitor account issues.
- Confidentiality: Ensure all information is handled with a high level of confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Collections practices and relevant laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle stressful situations, and maintain professionalism.

Salary Range:
