The CDO Loan/Asset Administrator at U.S. Bank is responsible for the management and administration of Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) portfolios. This role involves ensuring accurate processing of interest and principal payments, monitoring and resolving discrepancies using systems like CDO Suite and Bloomberg, and maintaining precise bond data. The administrator will support the CLO Team and assist during high-volume periods such as month-end reporting. This position provides opportunities for career growth, including progression to roles such as CDO Loan/Asset Administrator II, Deal Administrator, Analyst, and Relationship Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. CDO Administration & Monitoring:

    • Manage and maintain portfolios of corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and mezzanine debt.
    • Ensure accurate processing of interest and principal payments on CDO notes.
    • Research discrepancies using Bloomberg, DTC, and trustee reports to reconcile portfolios.
  2. System Management:

    • Utilize CDO Suite, Bloomberg, and other systems to ensure accurate data entry and report generation.
    • Grant access to external parties to view U.S. Bank’s reports when necessary.
  3. Reporting & Payment Processing:

    • Book interest and principal payments accurately and promptly when notes pay.
    • Assist during high-volume periods such as month-end reporting by providing support to CLO teams and handling tagging tasks.
  4. Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with Deal Administration, Analytics, and Relationship Management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Provide hands-on training and assistance to team members.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Less than two years of relevant work experience in a finance or CDO-related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of CDOs, structured finance, and collateral management systems.
  • Familiarity with financial software packages and bond portfolio management tools.
  • Experience in the finance or banking sector is advantageous.
