You’ll Bring
- Educational Background: Juris Doctor (JD) degree required with 12+ years of legal experience, including significant commercial, regulatory, and strategic work.
- Leadership: Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with executive and strategic responsibilities.
- Analytical Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities to manage complex workflows effectively.
- Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster trusted relationships across all organizational levels.
- Executive Management: Experience in strategic planning, operations, HR strategy, people management, and budget oversight (up to $100M) is preferred.
Strategic Leadership
- Oversee and direct the global Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) Department’s strategy, planning, and legal operations.
- Serve as the principal advisor to the CLO, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and enterprise objectives.
- Lead the creation and execution of the LRC Department's three-year strategic plan and performance tracking against formal goals.
Operational Oversight
- Manage LRC Department operations, including personnel allocation, global budgeting, vendor engagements, and outside counsel relationships.
- Act as the main point of engagement for TransUnion’s Global Leadership Team, escalating critical matters to the CLO as needed.
- Support the Corporate Secretary group with Board planning, reporting, and departmental contributions.
Communications and Engagement
- Develop and manage all departmental communication strategies, including CLO messaging, internal communications, global town halls, and engagement initiatives.
Human Resources and Budgeting
- Collaborate with HR and Finance leaders on personnel strategies, including resource allocation and talent management.
- Oversee the LRC Department’s financial management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Legal Counsel
- Provide proactive legal guidance to stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality on sensitive matters.
- Ensure that senior leaders and management understand the implications of legal and regulatory matters.
