Chemical Operator

We are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety and efficiency. You will also handle material movements, such as unloading raw materials, operating machinery, and managing hazardous waste in compliance with company standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate blend tanks, storage tanks, reactors, and micro-motion units.
• Materials Handling: Scale in/out of vessels, adjust tanks prior to shipment, and load/unload tank wagons and rail cars.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, transactions, and batch records accurately.
• Quality Control: Perform routine in-process lab analyses and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and EFfCI standards.
• Forklift and Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment, as well as the Frymas machine.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform non-craft maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Waste Management: Handle hazardous waste, including container labeling and waste characterization sampling.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, performing janitorial and laborer duties when needed.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with production team members and across departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a production operator in a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of production machinery and chemical processes.
  • Ability to follow quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and material-moving equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for transaction entry into the RCS system.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
