As a Catalyst Process Unit Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a station in a catalyst process unit, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in line with Honeywell’s high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role will require you to participate in safety processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating Station: Follow standard operating procedures to effectively operate a station in the catalyst process unit, staying updated on improvements and changes.
  • Shift Reporting & Exchange: Write end-of-shift reports and conduct shift exchanges at the start and end of each shift.
  • Safety Participation: Actively engage in the Structured Safety Process (SSP), adhering to safety activities and precautions.
  • Problem-Solving: Participate in Rapid Problem Solving initiatives to identify and implement solutions to production issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities and suggest improvements related to quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Workplace Safety: Ensure that the work environment remains safe and complies with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Attend production meetings, follow work instructions from leadership, and assist with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or service industry environment.
  • US Person Requirement: Must be a US Citizen, US permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the US due to compliance with US export control laws.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • 2 years of troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift more than 30 lbs frequently, with significant repetition.
  • Exposure to Physical Risks: Anticipated exposure to machine, chemical, or physical hazards.
