Description Job Description


The Operator at Aurorium is responsible for ensuring compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards, particularly in relation to process monitoring and packaging at the Midlothian site. This role involves performing process samples, offloading raw materials, and following all relevant SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Run production during the scheduled shift, manage process samples, and offload raw materials while adhering to all relevant SOPs.
  • Operator Coverage: Be prepared to cover for all operator tasks and jobs on-site.
  • cGMP Compliance: Ensure compliance with cGMP procedures and standards at the site.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Comply with all company policies, procedures, and arrangements regarding health, safety, and the environment. Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, problem-solving, and take responsibility for personal learning and development.
  • Team Development: Assist in the training, mentoring, and assessment of team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Autonomy and Judgement: Exercise judgment and autonomy in carrying out duties, while following overall direction or guidance from leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • SOP and Safety Compliance: Ability to read, understand, and follow operating and safety procedures.
