Harkins Theatres is seeking a skilled design professional with experience in CAD and architectural design to join their team. This role focuses on coordinating design requirements for various projects, such as remodels and new builds, and maintaining high standards to contribute to the overall moviegoing experience. Here are some essential details:


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design Coordination: Work with internal teams and external partners to gather design requirements and create seating/layout plans and schematic site plans.
  • Drawing Standards: Develop and maintain drawing standards, including AutoCAD blocks and Revit Families, and modify existing drawings as needed.
  • Review and Quality Control: Mark up shop drawings, ensure accuracy against directions, and submit files for review.
  • Communication: Coordinate effectively with different teams and meet deadlines.
  • Additional Duties: Maintain a sample library, update policies annually, and occasionally travel to project sites (around 5%).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in design or architecture (or equivalent technical certification) with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 5 years CAD design experience.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Software: Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
    • Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, construction systems, and interior design principles. Strong hand sketching ability is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to interpret and mark up architectural and MEP drawings.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well both independently and collaboratively.
    • Professional attitude and commitment to integrity.
