We are seeking a talented and experienced Cabinetry Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing custom cabinetry, remodeling, and FF&E specifying, with specific expertise in kitchen cabinetry design.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers both in-person and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their kitchen design needs and preferences.
  • Create luxury kitchen designs using software such as 2020, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar for rendering and modeling.
  • Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures for their kitchen designs.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of kitchen remodeling projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in kitchen design.
  • Obtain final measurements from construction blueprints or visit job sites for re-measurement.
  • Utilize 2020 and/or CAD systems to provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Review design plans with customers, make revisions, and prepare final designs for approval.
  • Specify products and put together selections that align with the client’s budget.
  • Consult with clients on fixtures, backsplashes, and countertops.
  • Coordinate vendor visits to job sites for templating countertops or tile setting.
  • Place orders, track acknowledgments, and plan installation schedules.
  • Follow up on pending orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Arrange product delivery and supervise installation, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Meet with vendors to plan kitchen displays, review new products, and discuss pricing.
  • Propose new product lines or vendor relationships as appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining showroom displays, particularly in the Cabinetry, Appliances, and Tile Display areas.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss projects, procedures, and cross-training opportunities.
  • Provide support to other Sales Associates to ensure a comprehensive solution approach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as a Designer or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Revit/CAD, 2020, or other design software.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinet design, flooring, tile, and other interior finishes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of project management principles is a plus.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
