Job Description

The⠀Business⠀Development⠀Specialist⠀provides⠀expertise⠀to assist⠀the⠀company as⠀we grow⠀our⠀business⠀in the DoD⠀sector. As⠀a Business⠀Development⠀Specialist⠀your job⠀duties may⠀include⠀tracking⠀opportunities,⠀developing⠀relationships,⠀and⠀drafting⠀proposals.

Essential⠀Duties and⠀Responsibilities:⠀(Not⠀listed in⠀order of⠀importance;⠀other⠀duties may⠀be⠀assigned)⠀and must⠀be able to⠀perform⠀the⠀following⠀with⠀minimal⠀guidance:

Assist in⠀identifying⠀and⠀contacting⠀potential⠀teaming⠀partners⠀through⠀email⠀communication
Review⠀and⠀analyze⠀government⠀solicitations⠀and⠀contracts⠀to⠀identify⠀strategic⠀opportunities⠀for the⠀company
Utilize⠀CRM⠀software⠀to manage⠀and track⠀communication⠀with⠀potential⠀partners⠀and⠀opportunities
Work⠀with⠀GovWin,⠀C2P, GSA⠀or similar⠀platforms⠀to⠀research,⠀track, and⠀identify⠀new⠀government⠀contract⠀opportunities
Collaborate⠀with the⠀business⠀development⠀lead to⠀craft⠀tailored⠀elevator⠀pitches⠀and⠀proposals⠀for⠀various⠀domains
Monitor⠀and track⠀different⠀government⠀agencies'⠀activities⠀within the⠀companies⠀capabilities
Conduct⠀market⠀research⠀and⠀analysis⠀to⠀identify⠀trends and⠀potential⠀target⠀markets
Assist⠀in the⠀development⠀and⠀maintenance⠀of⠀business⠀development⠀reports⠀and⠀dashboards
Support⠀the team⠀in⠀organizing⠀and⠀preparing⠀for⠀meetings,⠀presentations,⠀and⠀events
Collaborate⠀with⠀cross-functional⠀teams to⠀ensure⠀seamless⠀communication⠀and⠀alignment⠀of⠀business⠀development⠀efforts
Craft,⠀develop⠀and proof⠀communications⠀(i.e.,⠀Task Order⠀responses,⠀Sources⠀Sought,⠀Market⠀Research,⠀Request⠀for⠀Information,⠀Quotes,⠀Proposals,⠀etc.)

Travel –⠀Some⠀travel may⠀be⠀requested⠀to support⠀conferences,⠀exhibits⠀and⠀customer⠀engagement⠀activities.⠀Less than⠀15% travel

Currently⠀enrolled⠀in a⠀relevant⠀degree⠀program⠀[e.g.,⠀Business,⠀Marketing,⠀Economics,⠀etc.] or⠀recent⠀graduate
Strong⠀written⠀and verbal⠀communication⠀skills
Detail-oriented⠀with⠀excellent⠀organizational⠀abilities

Hands-on⠀experience⠀in⠀business⠀development⠀and⠀government⠀contracting⠀(Dept of⠀Defense is⠀preferred)

Physical Requirements

Work may⠀involve⠀sitting or⠀standing⠀for⠀extended⠀periods of⠀time.⠀Position⠀may⠀require⠀typing and⠀reading⠀from a⠀computer⠀screen.⠀Must have⠀sufficient⠀mobility,⠀including⠀but not⠀limited to⠀bending,⠀reaching,⠀and⠀kneeling⠀to⠀complete⠀daily⠀duties in⠀a timely⠀and⠀efficient⠀manner.⠀There is a⠀possibility⠀that due⠀to parking⠀availability⠀and⠀location⠀of work,⠀walking⠀moderate⠀to long⠀distance⠀may be⠀required.⠀Possible⠀lifting up⠀to 25⠀lbs.
