About the Role

The Business Development Consultant will report to the Director of New Business Development for SimCorp Americas. This position is vital in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and supports our sales team by generating high-quality leads. The Consultant will actively engage potential clients, leveraging various outreach methods, including phone, email, social media, and attendance at industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Conduct targeted research and outreach to identify new business opportunities.
  • Client Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients through multiple channels, effectively introducing SimCorp’s fintech products and services.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assess leads based on criteria to ensure alignment with our target market.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of our products to communicate their benefits to prospects effectively.
  • Market Research: Analyze market trends and competitor offerings for growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to align on strategies and share insights.
  • Pipeline Management: Track leads through the CRM, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Follow-Up: Nurture prospect relationships through the sales funnel.
  • Feedback Loop: Share insights from client interactions to improve products and strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet targets for lead conversion and outreach while continuously improving performance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in a similar role within capital markets or software solutions for the buy-side market.
  • Understanding of capital markets, investment operations, and portfolio management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, research, and business writing skills.
  • Experience in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of SimCorp products and services is an advantage.

Salary Range
For New York City and San Francisco: $75,000 - $110,000. Compensation includes a discretionary bonus, health benefits, leave, and retirement plans, with variations based on location and performance.
