Position Overview:
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on managing supplier data with a strong emphasis on financial and supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the wholesale distribution industry and possess advanced Excel skills to support accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles. This role requires close collaboration with procurement, supply chain, pricing, finance, and accounting teams to optimize supplier performance, manage costs, and support strategic sourcing decisions through robust financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Tools Management:

    • Utilize Salesforce, Enable, PriceFX, MicroStrategy, and Excel for collecting, analyzing, and managing supplier and financial data.
    • Excel skills should include creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, and complex formulas to support data analysis and reporting.
  • KPI Development & Maintenance:

    • Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier rebates, ensure accurate accruals, and forecast financial outcomes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Use business intelligence tools (e.g., BI, Enable) for data visualization to create dashboards and reports providing insights into supplier financial performance and rebate management.
    • Prepare financial analyses and reports using Microsoft Office tools, ensuring clear communication of rebate status and financial impact to stakeholders.
  • Document Management & Process Development:

    • Develop solutions for document management and collaboration across procurement, finance, and accounting departments.
    • Document and standardize rebate accounting procedures using Enable & Salesforce.
  • Collaboration & Training:

    • Train procurement and accounting staff on the use of BI, Enable, and Salesforce applications related to rebate management and financial analysis.
    • Collaborate with IT to enhance and optimize Watsco applications in managing supplier data and financial processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular reviews, audits, and validation of supplier financial data within Watsco systems.
  • Support the integration of supplier management data with other Watsco systems, such as ERP platforms, to streamline operations.
  • Assist with the forecasting process by providing financial data analyses and insights derived from Watsco applications.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve supplier collaboration, performance tracking, and cost and ROI management using Watsco software tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the wholesale distribution or supply chain industry, with a focus on supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
