Role Overview

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll contribute to Prove's digital identity infrastructure by developing scalable, fault-tolerant solutions. You’ll work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Ownership & Delivery:

   • Oversee software features from ideation to production.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and QA teams.

2. Development:

   • Produce high-quality, efficient, and secure code.
   • Implement solutions using object-oriented programming languages like Go, Java, or Python.
   • Utilize SQL, NoSQL, and GraphQL technologies effectively.

3. System Design & Problem-Solving:

   • Architect solutions for complex technical challenges.
   • Recommend system optimizations and alternative approaches.

4. Team Collaboration & Leadership:

   • Facilitate cross-team communication and collaboration.
   • Encourage experimentation in a "safe-to-fail" environment.

5. Continuous Improvement:

   • Monitor workflows to maintain visibility and balance workloads.
   • Analyze bottlenecks and implement performance optimizations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

• Technical Expertise:

  • 4-5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS (AWS Certification is a plus).
  • Knowledge of database design and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, GraphQL).
  • DevOps experience highly desirable.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with high-growth or pre-IPO technology companies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000–$135,000 annually, plus company bonus.
