When⠀you join⠀PPGNY as⠀the⠀Associate⠀Vice⠀President⠀of⠀Community⠀Engagement⠀will serve⠀on the⠀Equity and⠀Engagement⠀Division’s⠀management⠀team and⠀will⠀collaborate⠀with⠀various⠀PPGNY⠀departments⠀including,⠀but not⠀limited to⠀Development,⠀Research⠀and⠀Evaluation,⠀Clinical⠀Services,⠀Project⠀Street⠀Beat and⠀Public⠀Affairs to⠀advance⠀the work⠀of the⠀department⠀and the⠀mission of⠀PPNGY.⠀This is a⠀full-time⠀position⠀Agency⠀wide and⠀involves⠀travel⠀statewide⠀up to 20%⠀of the⠀time.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide⠀leadership⠀and⠀management⠀to the⠀Survivor⠀Support⠀Services⠀program,⠀including⠀ensuring⠀effective⠀and⠀accessible⠀service⠀delivery,⠀timely⠀grant⠀reporting,⠀program⠀evaluation⠀and⠀continuous⠀quality⠀improvement,⠀ongoing⠀fund⠀development,⠀continuous⠀staff⠀engagement,⠀cross-departmental⠀collaboration,⠀and⠀intentional⠀coalition-building⠀and⠀external⠀partnership⠀development.
  • Provide⠀direct⠀supervision⠀and⠀professional⠀development⠀opportunities,⠀always⠀with a⠀race+⠀equity⠀lens, for⠀the⠀Director⠀of⠀Survivor⠀Support⠀Services⠀and⠀provide⠀support/backup⠀to the VP⠀in⠀supervision⠀of other⠀Community⠀Engagement⠀program⠀directors.
  • In⠀close⠀collaboration⠀with the⠀development⠀department,⠀engage in⠀continuing⠀prospecting⠀for public⠀and⠀private⠀grants⠀that match⠀identified⠀program⠀goals and⠀needs;⠀develop⠀and⠀maintain⠀excellent⠀relationships⠀with⠀current⠀and⠀potential⠀funders;⠀develop⠀grant⠀applications⠀and⠀letters of⠀interest;⠀work with⠀local and⠀state⠀government⠀agencies⠀to⠀increase⠀awareness⠀of funding⠀needs.
  • Identify⠀and⠀nurture⠀strategic⠀relationships/partnerships⠀with other⠀sexual⠀violence/crime⠀victims’⠀programs⠀as well as⠀reproductive,⠀social,⠀and⠀economic⠀justice⠀organizations⠀to enhance⠀PPGNY’s⠀community⠀accountability⠀and⠀effectiveness⠀in meeting⠀our⠀mission.
  • Oversee⠀the⠀development⠀of strong⠀partnerships⠀with local⠀community⠀leaders⠀and groups⠀to build⠀connection,⠀accountability⠀and to⠀promote⠀PPGNY’s⠀various⠀program⠀initiatives,⠀access to⠀care and⠀supportive⠀services.
  • Collaborate⠀on⠀intradepartmental⠀and⠀interdepartmental⠀projects/efforts⠀involving⠀community⠀engagement⠀staff.
  • Support⠀the⠀creation⠀of annual⠀department⠀budgets in⠀collaboration⠀with Vice⠀President,⠀Community⠀Engagement⠀and core⠀team⠀leaders⠀and⠀managers.
  • Monitor⠀programmatic⠀performance⠀and⠀adherence⠀to grant⠀requirements⠀including⠀ensuring⠀deliverables⠀and⠀outcomes⠀are met;⠀monitoring⠀related⠀budgets;⠀and⠀ensuring⠀completion⠀of⠀grant/funder⠀reports⠀for⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀purposes.
  • Ensure⠀equity in⠀hiring,⠀promotion,⠀and talent⠀development⠀within the⠀Equity and⠀Engagement⠀department’s⠀teams.
  • Complete⠀all⠀responsibilities⠀according⠀to⠀established⠀protocols,⠀policies,⠀and⠀standard⠀practices⠀in the⠀area of⠀customer⠀service,⠀ADA and⠀regulatory⠀compliance⠀programs⠀such as⠀HIPAA.⠀Works⠀effectively⠀with⠀volunteers⠀and other⠀department⠀and⠀organization⠀team⠀members.

You have:

  • 7+ years⠀of work⠀experience⠀in⠀organizations⠀leading⠀teams⠀and/or⠀managing⠀director⠀level or⠀above. At⠀least five⠀years of⠀specific⠀experience⠀in the⠀provision⠀of sexual⠀or⠀interpersonal⠀violence⠀support⠀services.⠀Experience⠀in⠀managing⠀hotlines⠀strongly⠀preferred.
  • Requires⠀an ability⠀equal to⠀that⠀usually⠀derived⠀from⠀satisfactory⠀completion⠀of courses⠀required⠀for⠀graduation⠀from an⠀accredited⠀college or⠀university⠀with a⠀Baccalaureate⠀Degree, or⠀a related⠀field.
  • Master’s⠀degree in⠀Social⠀Work⠀and/or⠀related⠀LCSW-R⠀required.
