Associate Software Engineer

Role Objective: As an Associate Software Engineer on the SAP HR Core and Benefits team, you will collaborate with functional analysts, developers, QA engineers, and various HR business areas. Your role will involve supporting SAP end users, implementing new functionality, and working on cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and deploy SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement SAP applications, with a focus on Human Resources.
• Assist with gathering business requirements and translating them into system design and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to maintain and test application functionality.
• Write or modify unit test plans, test cases, and other SAP deliverables.
• Configure SAP for solutions in the Human Resources area, focusing on Personnel Administration and Benefits.
• Test application functionality and custom SAP programs.
• Resolve SAP incidents and problems, and validate SAP system changes in production.
• Support integration points within SAP and between SAP and other systems.
• Provide direct support to business areas and other I/S teams on SAP applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of relational database design and querying concepts.
• Basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycles.
• Experience in reading and understanding system requirements and design deliverables, with a focus on Personnel Administration and Benefits.
• Experience in translating business requirements into functional configuration requirements.
• Familiarity with testing environments and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of experience with SAP’s ERP system, specifically the HR modules (Personnel Administration and Benefits).
• Experience with SQ01 queries or standard ad hoc query transactions.

Year End Bonus:

• Publix issues a year-end bonus equivalent to one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) if the associate remains employed through the issue date. This bonus is calculated as a 13th month of pay.
