Role Overview:

As ACD, Copywriter, you’ll shape Verizon’s voice across retail and digital media, collaborating closely with our creative and design teams to develop high-quality, on-brand copy that resonates with diverse audiences. This role is ideal for a talented writer with an eye for detail, a knack for storytelling, and a commitment to clear, concise, and impactful content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Development: Craft compelling, strategic copy for retail channels and various print and digital media that aligns with Verizon’s brand and objectives.
  • Content Creation: Develop effective marketing copy, informed by thorough research on clients, competitors, and target audiences.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to produce clear, credible, and engaging content, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all creative assets.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Review copy for brand alignment, audience focus, and grammatical precision, meeting Verizon’s standards for quality and consistency.
  • Guideline Adherence: Maintain Verizon’s voice by ensuring all content adheres to messaging guidelines and brand directives.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Six+ years of experience in copywriting, demonstrated through work, military, or specialized training.
  • Agency experience (external or in-house).
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of work and expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing creative concepts and crafting persuasive copy for major retailers or national stores.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and AP/Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Knowledge of traditional and emerging channels, maintaining a consistent voice across various media.
