The Business Development Executive (BDE) at Diversified plays a vital role in expanding the company's reach by acquiring new enterprise clients across Workplace, Media, and other verticals globally. This role involves a balance of lead generation, relationship-building, market analysis, and proposal development to strategically position Diversified as a leader in AV, collaboration, and digital signage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development:
- Establish and nurture relationships with decision-makers and influencers across enterprise clients.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify business opportunities and proactively mitigate potential threats.
Lead Generation & Market Expansion:
- Initiate lead generation efforts, build a pipeline through prospecting, and identify market expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adjust offerings to client segments’ needs, driving entry into new regions or verticals.
Competitive Positioning & Proposal Development:
- Conduct competitive analysis to highlight areas of differentiation and leverage market trends.
- Partner with Sales Enablement and Proposal teams to create compelling proposals that align with client needs, showcasing Diversified’s unique value.
Client Engagement & Opportunity Leadership:
- Qualify potential clients, lead new business pursuits, and engage the necessary team members for solution development, presentations, and negotiations.
- Design pursuit strategies focusing on delivering business outcomes for clients, in alignment with the technical and commercial frameworks.
Negotiation & Sales Pitching:
- Develop negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, facilitating deal closure and revenue target achievement.
- Craft and deliver persuasive sales presentations, collaborating with Marketing to maintain consistency in branding and messaging.
Product Knowledge & Market Research:
- Build in-depth knowledge of AV technology, collaboration tools, and digital signage for effective communication of Diversified's offerings.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive products, continuously learning to keep abreast of updates and new features.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, with a preference for experience in AV, communication, and collaboration technologies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills with experience engaging C-level executives.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with video, voice, collaboration tools, and partner-led sales strategies.
