The Associate Art Director will play a key role in shaping the visual direction of moderately complex projects, balancing creativity with strategic objectives. Working under Creative leadership, this role involves conceptualizing, designing, and ensuring adherence to client branding and project goals while leading or mentoring junior designers.

This position offers the opportunity to work across diverse projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including copywriters, photographers, and other creatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts and visual strategies aligned with project objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Provide artistic direction and mentorship to designers, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Seamlessly integrate visual and written storytelling across media channels.
  • Review and approve final designs, ensuring adherence to brand standards and client expectations.
  • Present concepts and designs to clients, addressing feedback and managing revisions.
  • Act as a collaborative partner with production, fabrication, and account teams.
  • Maintain practical awareness of project scope and workload forecasting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (preferred); High School Diploma with relevant work experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in graphic design or a related field (event industry experience preferred).
  • Software Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Skills:
    • Advanced artistic direction and visual design capabilities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
    • Ability to mentor junior team members.
    • Positive, proactive collaboration across departments.
