Responsibilities:
The⠀primary⠀focus of⠀this⠀position⠀is on⠀optimizing⠀seamless⠀access to⠀a vast⠀universe⠀of⠀locally-owned⠀and⠀shared-access⠀print,⠀digital⠀and⠀digitized⠀library⠀resources,⠀and⠀enhancing⠀the⠀Library’s⠀performance⠀in⠀fulfilling⠀all its⠀patrons’⠀content⠀needs –⠀for⠀individual⠀learning,⠀research,⠀or⠀teaching.⠀In⠀addition,⠀this⠀position⠀oversees⠀the⠀management⠀of⠀physical⠀collections⠀and⠀spearheads⠀operations⠀to supply⠀efficient⠀on-demand⠀digitization⠀of all⠀types of⠀library⠀materials,⠀with a⠀special⠀emphasis⠀on⠀end-user⠀accessibility.
As⠀the head⠀of the CA⠀Department,⠀the⠀incumbent⠀is⠀responsible⠀for⠀overseeing⠀a dynamic⠀team⠀currently⠀consisting⠀of about⠀21⠀professional⠀and⠀support⠀staff, and⠀approximately⠀seventy⠀student⠀assistants⠀that⠀seamlessly⠀provide⠀patron-facing⠀content⠀services,⠀including⠀circulation,⠀course⠀reserves,⠀print and⠀digital⠀resource⠀sharing,⠀multimedia⠀services,⠀digitization⠀on demand,⠀and⠀accessibility⠀services.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- MLS from⠀an ALA⠀accredited⠀institution⠀or⠀equivalent⠀combination⠀of⠀education⠀and⠀professional⠀experience
- A⠀minimum of⠀seven⠀years⠀relevant⠀professional⠀experience⠀in an⠀academic⠀or⠀research⠀library,⠀or the⠀equivalent,⠀which must⠀include a⠀minimum of⠀three⠀years of⠀supervisory⠀and⠀management⠀experience
- Deep⠀understanding⠀and work⠀experience⠀of⠀circulation,⠀collection⠀management⠀and/or⠀resource⠀sharing⠀services⠀of a large⠀academic⠀library⠀with⠀multiple⠀branches
- Knowledge/work⠀experience⠀of⠀digitization⠀of many⠀types of⠀library⠀materials
- Experience⠀which⠀demonstrates⠀a strong⠀public⠀service⠀orientation
- A⠀commitment⠀to staff⠀development
- Strong⠀interpersonal⠀skills;⠀teamwork⠀and team⠀building⠀skills
