Role Overview:
As an Art Director at Abbott, you’ll craft human-centered creative ideas and bring them to life across various mediums, including integrated campaigns, events, collateral, film, and digital content. This role requires collaboration with creative teams to translate insights and strategies into compelling ideas that engage audiences meaningfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with copywriters and other creatives to develop customer-centric stories and ideas aligned with Abbott's purpose and brand promise.
- Create mood boards, key visuals, and storyboards to bring creative concepts to life.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and collaborate with teams on big ideas.
- Provide art direction during photography and video shoots.
- Guide designers from concept to final execution, ensuring high-quality output.
- Present creative concepts and designs to internal clients.
- Maintain brand consistency and ensure designs align with Abbott's guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in art direction or senior graphic design, either in an agency or internal role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating breakthrough creative ideas and effective brand strategies.
- Ability to work within a singular brand and bring its creative potential to life.
- Experience leading design teams through the creative process.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain creative ideas to clients.
Salary Range:
- $72,700 – $145,300 annually, with variations based on location.
