As an Art Director at Abbott, you will lead the creation of innovative, human-centered creative campaigns and materials. You’ll collaborate with creative teams to bring compelling brand stories to life across multiple platforms such as campaigns, events, collateral, digital, and film. Your work will help ensure Abbott’s messaging resonates authentically with its audiences.
Creative Concept Development:
Collaborate with copywriters and creative teams to translate insights into compelling, customer-focused stories and campaigns that reflect Abbott’s purpose and values.
Design Execution:
Develop mood boards, key visuals, and other creative concepts to bring ideas to life. Provide art direction during photography and video shoots, ensuring high-quality visuals that align with the campaign’s goals.
Team Leadership:
Lead designers through the creative process, taking projects from concept to final execution while maintaining brand consistency.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including strategists, writers, and project managers to deliver on creative strategies and ensure alignment with Abbott’s brand.
Client Presentations:
Present creative concepts and final designs to internal clients, ensuring that the creative work is on-brand and aligned with the messaging guidelines.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure all creative work is consistent with Abbott's established brand guidelines and contributes to a cohesive brand expression.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in art direction or senior graphic design roles, either in-house or within an agency.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Portfolio:
A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to create breakthrough creative ideas that align with brand strategies and engage audiences effectively.
Leadership:
At least 2 years of experience leading a team of designers from concept to completion.
Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Strong ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Creative Vision:
Ability to work within a singular brand and unleash its full creative potential.
Presentation Skills:
Experience presenting creative ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders, with the ability to articulate the vision behind the work.
