Join our Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team to help us also become the leading cyber-United Airlines is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist to join the Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team. This role involves protecting the airline’s information security through rapid response to cyber incidents, analyzing and remediating internal and external threats, and improving cybersecurity processes to reduce business risk. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s cybersecurity efforts, keeping both customer and employee data safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cyber Incident Response:

    • Lead investigations into cybersecurity incidents and insider threats.
    • Evaluate, analyze, and remediate internal and external cyber threats to United Airlines.
    • Use endpoint security, network systems, log aggregation tools, and case management systems to document and track incident progress.
  • Threat Evaluation & Communication:

    • Analyze cyber intelligence, coordinate threat hunts, and evaluate risks.
    • Communicate remediation efforts and incidents to leadership in real-time.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Maintain and update playbooks, case management tools, and process documentation.
    • Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve incident response efficiency.
  • On-Call Support:

    • Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a focus on Incident Response.
  • Hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or as part of an incident response team, using security tools to detect, contain, and remediate threats.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in a STEM-related field.
  • Industry certifications such as Security+, CISA, GCIH, CFCE, GFCA, and/or GCFE.
  • Experience supporting large-scale incident response activities in a Fortune-100 enterprise.
  • Knowledge of computer networking, application development, and cyber threat intelligence.
