The Analyst position based in Chicago will focus primarily on asset management, with exposure to lease analysis, business plan development and execution, asset valuations, and property dispositions for Brookfield’s U.S. industrial portfolio in the Central region. The role also offers experience in underwriting, market research, portfolio management, development, and construction, with collaboration across the Central region offices (Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX). This position provides extensive exposure to the U.S. Logistics market through real estate management and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the leasing process by analyzing potential leases and their financial impact on investments.
  • Analyze third-party appraisals and conduct internal property valuations.
  • Perform quarterly financial statement analysis, review rent rolls, forecast cash flows, and project future financial performance using Argus.
  • Conduct financial analyses, including underwriting pro-formas, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses using Argus and Excel.
  • Support asset managers in developing annual operating budgets, including forecasts for leasing and capital projects.
  • Provide analytical support to teams in Fund Operations, Investments, and Development.
  • Assist in tasks related to acquisitions, development, portfolio management, and market research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in real estate.
  • Proficiency in Argus required; experience with VTS is a plus.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team and confidently share ideas and recommendations.
