What you’ll be doing:

  • Playing a⠀central⠀role in⠀the⠀scoping of⠀new⠀assignments⠀as well as⠀their⠀delivery⠀planning⠀and⠀execution
  • Managing⠀the⠀assigned⠀projects⠀and tasks⠀meet⠀required⠀deadlines⠀and⠀quality⠀expectations
  • Managing⠀stakeholder⠀expectations⠀on an⠀ongoing⠀basis,⠀both⠀internally⠀and client⠀facing
  • Facilitating⠀client⠀committees/workshops,⠀having the⠀capacity⠀to manage⠀a room of⠀senior and⠀knowledge⠀participants⠀in order⠀to steer⠀them⠀toward⠀specific⠀meeting⠀goals
  • Shaping⠀and⠀editing⠀formal⠀reports⠀and⠀presentations⠀prepared⠀by team⠀analysts⠀and⠀consultants⠀ahead of⠀Senior⠀Manager/Director/Partner⠀review⠀stages
  • Mentoring⠀and⠀development⠀of junior⠀staff –⠀our people⠀and their⠀careers⠀are at the⠀centre of⠀everything⠀we⠀do
  • Supporting⠀business⠀development⠀initiatives⠀(including⠀contribution⠀and⠀delivery⠀of⠀proposal⠀and sales⠀pitch⠀work)
  • Undertaking⠀industry⠀research⠀and⠀thought⠀leadership⠀covering⠀the key⠀market⠀sectors/target⠀clients

Education/ Professional Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Islamic Finance focus is a plus
  • Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) or equivalent
  • CIA - Certified Internal Auditor would be a plus

Experience Required:

  • Industry⠀experience⠀in Islamic⠀financial⠀institutions⠀or Islamic⠀finance⠀advisory⠀role at a⠀consulting⠀organisation
  • Consulting⠀experience⠀in the⠀areas of⠀financial⠀services⠀advisory⠀including⠀but not⠀limited⠀Internal⠀Sharia⠀Audit,⠀Sharia⠀Compliance,⠀Product⠀Structuring⠀and⠀Islamic⠀regulatory⠀advisory
  • Knowledge⠀of the⠀overarching⠀Regulatory⠀Frameworks⠀in the UAE⠀(Central⠀Bank of⠀UAE⠀regulations,⠀Higher⠀Sharia⠀Authority⠀directives⠀and AAOIFI⠀Sharia⠀Standards)
  • Experience⠀of working⠀in and/or⠀with large⠀scale⠀organisations
  • Strong⠀knowledge⠀of one or⠀more of⠀the core⠀Financial⠀Services⠀industries⠀(i.e.⠀Banking,⠀Takaful⠀and Asset⠀Management)⠀with an⠀awareness⠀of⠀emerging⠀trends in⠀the⠀regulatory⠀landscape
  • Experience⠀in core⠀principles⠀of Islamic⠀Sharia
  • Experience⠀in dealing⠀with⠀Central⠀Banks and⠀Supervisory⠀Authorities⠀and⠀advising⠀on⠀regulatory⠀examination⠀findings⠀and⠀supervisory⠀reviews on⠀Licensed⠀Financial⠀Institutions
