Description Job Description


  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Record and memorialize court proceedings during court sessions.
    • Administer oaths to witnesses and juries.
    • Maintain and secure exhibits as evidence.
    • Collaborate closely with judges and courtroom assistants to ensure the accuracy and integrity of records.
    • Transcribe court proceedings into standard minute entry format.
    • Process and issue court documents, including protective orders and warrants.
    • Proofread and edit court documents for accuracy.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of three years in clerical, legal office, or court-related work.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education can substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement.
  • Skills:
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Proficiency in communication and computer use.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and provide excellent customer service.
